NYC Birthday Celebration

Last weekend I had the opportunity to spend a night in New York City with my mom, aunt, and cousin. This summer I have been working in the city, so it was nice to explore and do things that I wouldn't do on a day to day basis. We stayed in a hotel located in the Upper West side, right across from central park.

The whole weekend was a lot of fun. We walked about 50 blocks which was more than I bargained for...but hey got to get my workout somehow. We ate a really good lunch at the Rockefeller center, shopped, and went to see the broadway show Kinky Boots. The following day, we went to the mall by Columbus Circle, did some more shopping and enjoyed really good Thai food.

I also discovered Century 21. I've heard about it before, but never really payed any mind to it. When I went in I was in complete AWE. Century 21 has designer items that are reduced price up to about 60% or more. I saw a really nice Zac Posen bag, and a blue leather fringe Ralph Lauren bag that I wanted. I didn't buy them because I didn't need more bags right now, but I ended up buying really fun Stella McCartney sunglasses for fifty dollars, saving my wallet about two hundred and fifty dollars. I was really happy about that purchase :)

If any of you know me or have gone shopping with me, then you would know I like really expensive things, but I like saving my money more. So when I find a good deal, I hop on that wagon really fast.

Here are some pictures that I took to document the fun girls weekend.
