Saturday's Best

There is something about getting dressed up that is exciting. I guess it is the feeling of going to a place where everyone is a bit more dressed up than in the usual work attire. I love having ready to go outfits for events and parties. This dress that I am wearing it great for an evening out, special events, church, etc. You can dress this look up with a great pair of heels and some accessories or you can wear it more casually like I did by pairing it with espadrille heels.

Easy Everyday Summer Outfit

On the weekends, when I am not working, I love to pull out my shorts and tanks for an easy and effortless summer look. Being comfortable in the heat and humidity is always the first thing that comes to mind. My favorite places to find affordable summer tanks and tees are H&M and Forever 21. These stores can really be a hit or miss, so it is always fun shuffling through the clothes to find good deals and really cute pieces of clothing.

Southwestern Print & A Stunning View

On my last blog post, I spoke about wearing a piece of clothing that you would not normally wear. I have been keeping my word. Traditionally my eye always leads me to solid colors, but I was drawn to this Denim & Supply Ralph Lauren dress. If you are going to wear a western print, no one does it better than Ralph Lauren.

Midi Skirt

Being tall always comes with difficulties when searching for skirts or dresses that would be an appropriate length. For a while, I thought I looked strange or  "grandma-ish" (if that is even a look) if I wore a skirt or dress that was below my knee. Recently,  I have began to appreciate the way I look in dresses and skirts that are longer. I now realize that longer hems may be flattering and comfortable. Plus I don't have to worry that my skirt is riding up.

I encourage you to try something new with your look. If you think there is something that may not look good on you, try wearing it again. Maybe wear that piece with different outfits to find the right look for you. You never know what you could be missing!
