Pop of Pink

It is funny how the color I used to love the most is the one I forgot about. I was shuffling through my clothes when I noticed that I only had one item that is pink. I took another look because I couldn't believe that out of everything in my closet, I had one pink shirt. I forgot all about the color pink! It isn't a color that I tend to gravitate to anymore. I find myself wearing more blue, white, cream, grey, and of course black.

I styled this pink shirt by pairing it with a white skirt and nude heels. I think wearing a collard shirt (no matter the color) with a skirt provides a very polished look. This type of outfit can be worn for work, out to dinner, or any other event that requires a certain level of dress. What I love most about this shirt is its versatility. It can also be worn with jeans or shorts, and sandals to create an easy everyday look.

Bohemian Inspired

I have a love for clothing that are inspired by Bohemian looks. I love the effortless and girly vibes that a Bohemian look can create. I have noticed more and more brands branching out and designing pieces that can cater to a wider range of women's style. The boho look is seem more and more!

There are brands like Free People and Denim and Supply Ralph Lauren that have really cute and wearable pieces for everyone no matter your style. Mixing and matching different styles and patterns can create a crave worthy look. My personal favorite is mixing preppy and edgy for a cool yet sophisticated look.

For todays #OOTD, I wore a Denim and Supply top and my favorite white jeans by Madewell. For accessories I wore a black crossbody and red wedges to add a POC (pop of color), and a really cute hat!

Summer Days

This summer really flew by fast. Guess that's what happens when I'm having to much fun, or working a lot. I haven't been able to enjoy quality time to relax, tan, or read. I forgot how it felt to be out on the lake with my family, just hanging out and enjoying each others company. I also forgot how hot and irritable I can feel because of the heat. When going out to the beach or lake, I found that bringing less items is best, and there are some staple items that are always needed.

Jada's Beach/ Lake Day Essentials:

  • A great book! At the moment I am reading Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. I am loving this book so far. Definitely should be on your reading list.
  • A magazine. I do not have a specific magazine that I enjoy, I love them all!
  • A notebook. When I am trying to relax I realize that it is when I begin thinking the most, whether it is ideas for my blog or what I need to do. No one likes the feeling of having a good idea and forget about it. I know I don't.
  • Sunglasses!
  • Sunscreen and Aloe Vera lotion. Protecting your skin is super important, not only for your health but to also to help prevent wrinkles.
  • Cute beach towel
  • A cap or beach hat
  • Chapstick
  • Don't forget, when in the sun for a long time, it is important to keep your body hydrated. Drink a lot of water and limit sugary drinks.
Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Denim on Demin

Monochromatic outfits are not out of the ordinary. Many designers and stylist love this type of look because there is a certain chicness to outfits that are within the same color range. I tend to go for an all black look, especially in the fall and winter. Today I am sharing with you a way to wear denim on denim. Denim can be so fun to mix and match because of its many textures. If you do not feel comfortable rocking this look, thats okay! There are many ways to incorporate amazing denim pieces into your everyday look, whether it be a jean vest or jeans that are splatter painted. Denim is so versatile and everyone has their own way of making denim personal and unique.
