Scarf It Up

Fall is finally here! I am so happy to be able to pull out my favorite accessories. Scarves are the secret to a put together look. They add texture, pattern, and color to outfits.

Fall has not been in full affect yet, but I can assure you that my scarves have already gotten some good use! :)

Scarves are one of those items that do not have to be expensive to look good! I love to get my scarves from Forever 21Ann Taylor Loft, and American Eagle (especially for the really chunky wool scarves.) The scarf that I am wearing above is from Zara. It is perfect for a pop of color because of the mustard, but it also incorporates different patterns and textures to make any plain outfit more interesting.

Tunic Shirt

I love long shirts! They are flattering for every body type. For an easy look for my classes, I like to wear them with skinny jeans. It is an easy and simple outfit that never fails to look good.

This past week, I wore a short sleeve tunic shirt and high-waisted skinny jeans with my favorite sneakers of the moment. Classic, effortless, and comfortable. Perfect for a college student!

Chic Outfits Wearing Ripped Jeans

Deciding what to wear on a daily basis can be frustrating and time consuming. I always wonder how Olivia Palermo can make every outfit that she wears look so chic. Ripped jeans are my favorite to wear, but they are not always an appropriate choice depending on what where you are going. Normally ripped jeans are not something you would wear to an interview or in the office, but going out with friends or evening dinner dates may be more acceptable.

There are many different ways jeans can be worn, but I want to give you examples and ideas of how to dress up your ripped jeans.

1. Wear them with a classic pointed pump for a sophisticated look.

2. Wear them with leatherNow that fall season is right around the corner, it is time to bring out the leather jackets. Leather adds an instant rocker chic feel to any outfit. It is one of those pieces that will never get old.

3. Wear them with a button down shirt. This is my favorite way of dressing up my ripped jeans. You look look polished, as if effort was made, and it is super comfy. Adding intricate accessories and a bold lip will complete this look.

4. Wear them with fringe. Fringe is perfect for fall, whether you are wearing a jacket or bag that has fringe details, it adds an "aww factor". By "aww factor"  I mean it captures the attention of those who walk past you. At least I am in aww when I see someone wearing fringe. A way to add instant fringe without over powering your outfit are fringe boots by Sam Edelman.

5. Wear them with cool sneakers. I love to wear my jeans with Adidas Stan Smith Sneakers.
I always get compliments when I wear them, and they are often a conversation starter.

6. My last tip for how to dress up ripped jeans is wearing a BlazerTo me, blazers are the icing to the cake. They have a transformative power of making dull and ordinary outfits look fabulous. Try it, I dare you! (Be aware of the cut of a blazer. Not all cuts will look right when worn with jeans or pants)

I hope my six tips will help you be effortlessly chic for whenever you wear ripped jeans!

White and Camel

As fall begins to roll in, I have compiled a perfect summer/fall transition outfit. I love tan and camel colors for the fall. Not only does it remind me of the colder months, they  also give a very New England vibe. This simple look includes white boyfriend jeans, a camel colored knit turtleneck with a gorgeous Chloe bag to match, a statement belt, sunnies, and of course a neutral heel.

To make this outfit complete, I would put my hair in a high pony tail, and create a winged liner with a bold berry lip. The lipstick I would choose is by Kat Von D in Damned

1. Jeans: J. Brand
2. Top: Topshop
3. Bag: Chloe
4. Sunnies: Dior
5. Belt: Bri Bri Belt (More affordable option Here)
6. Heels: Schutz

Top Ten Products

Since it has been a while that I have done a post about makeup, I figured the best way to bring it back is by showing you what my top ten makeup products are. These are the products that I reach for the most, and travel with the most. I love both of the Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow palettes that are listed below. The colors are so versatile and many looks can be created with these palettes. The colors are super fun yet classy. You can't ask for a better combination.

I have tried so many different mascaras. If you have been following my blog from the beginning, you would have known that my holy grail mascara was the Too Faced Better Than Sex. However, after a while I felt like it was drying in the tube really fast causing me to  to buy a new one every month. My eyelashes were also breaking off and were not looking as long and voluminous. With that being said, I have found an even better mascara for half the price! It is the L'Oreal Telescopic mascara. This is not a volumizing mascara but it adds so much length! Now that I have been using this mascara for  a while I noticed that my lashes are not breaking off as easily and they are remaining long.

All of the products below I use all the time  so I know how they look on the skin and wear for the day. I recommend these products. If you are not sure if these products will work for you, look up reviews and definitely visit a Sephora or Ulta near you to learn more about the products along with getting a makeup artist opinion on whether they will suit you.
