Sweater Dress

Sweater dresses are one of the easiest outfits to wear.  I think that you can create a new look each time depending on how you accessorize. This particular sweater dress is a bit more dressy so I like to wear it when I am going to church or have an engagement. The day I wore this dress, it was cold so I decided to wear knee high boots and a red bag to make the look a bit more playful. This outfit can easily be turned into a evening look by adding gorgeous pumps and a elegant bag.

Not only can sweater dresses be comfortable, they can create really cool and unique outfits. I love their versatility and the ability to work with any style.  If you want to wear one in the colder weather, you can do so by wearing a long puffer coat like I did. Fashion has no limits... even when freezing!

Cozy Knits

As the snow is falling, and I bundle myself in my blankets, I can't help but think about what I am going to wear on Monday morning. Knit turtleneck sweaters have caught the attention of the fashion world this past fall and now winter. They are super easy to style, creating new and chic looks every time. There is a comfort in wearing these knit turtlenecks that allow you to stay cozy all day while looking fabulous!

I used to despise wearing turtlenecks. My mom wore them all the time in the winter and they looked great on her. I thought that they looked odd and accentuated my long neck. They made me feel childish and uncomfortable.  Now, I cannot stop wearing them!

I can honestly say that they are a great investment. They are an item that you can pull out of your closet year after year and will still be in style. I love pieces like that! Sometimes, it makes me look forward to wearing them again, despite the cold and bitter temperatures required.

Grey & Olive

This past week was the one year anniversary of my blog! When I reflect back to the day that I started, I have grown so much in terms of content and style. It is amazing how time flies! Thank you so much for joining me on this endeavor. Now onto the clothes...!

I have a very minimalistic look. I love to wear simple outfits that are understated and modern. I chose to wear this very comfortable sweater, skinny jeans, and a gorgeous olive green sneaker. Another way to style this sweater would be pairing it with black skinny jeans and knee-high boots.

I love the way sneakers can transform a outfit. What I love about the sneakers I am wearing is that they are not running or active sneakers. They are lifestyle sneakers, which means they are perfect for wearing with jeans and yoga leggings. They have a really casual but cool look to them!

Winter Uniform

When it comes to my winter outfits, I try to stick to an easy look, one that will keep me warm and seem like I put thought into it. I always end up wearing a long sweater, skinny jeans, and boots. This outfit combination is surprisingly simple and comfortable. If you end up wearing a monochromatic look it is nice to add one piece of color, whether it is from your shoes, sunglasses, bag, or scarf... So many options! For this outfit, I chose to wear a bright red bag.

I honestly wear this "uniform" almost everyday during winter. If I am not wearing a long sweater, I am most likely wearing a turtleneck. What are your favorite outfit looks to wear during winter? Do you have a specific brand that you like wearing for the colder weather?

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! I traveled to Georgia and Florida for the holidays to spend time with my family.  While I was in Florida I went to Universal, the beach, go kart racing (I love racing! So fun), relaxed, and tanned a bit. It was seriously so hot that I felt so lazy...maybe a little moody, what can you say I'm a New England girl, I prefer the colder weather.

As Twenty-Sixteen has rolled in fast there are changes that I would like to make in my life. Resolutions are getting harder and harder to keep, but there are so many goals and accomplishments that I would like to reach this year.

I printed out these very helpful resolution/goal worksheets from the lifestyle blog Life With Me by Marianna Hewitt. I have been following this blog for a while and when I saw she came up with these worksheets, I really wanted to share them with you. These sheets will allow you to stay organized and can help you write out your goals for the year. She also has a video to demonstrate how she designed them to be used.

I really like these worksheets and I think that you should give them a try. Plus they are free to print. This post was not in collaboration with Life With Me blog, I thought this was a great idea to share with you! I hope that they will help you for your resolutions/ goals for this year.

Okay... Onto some of my goals for the year!

Eat salad... and vegetables/fruits in general

I am really bad when it comes to eating fruits and vegetables, especially as a college student I don't have anyone saying "Jada, you need to have some green on your plate." My family and I were vegetarian for a while and I really enjoyed it. I love tofu and vegan carob cake. As someone who ate meat for a majority of their life, as a vegetarian I honestly did not miss eating meat! This year I want to go back to being a vegetarian, eating salad, vegetables, and fruits. If you are interested I can post some healthy and tasty recipes.

Be more organized

I am never organized, but I am not a messy or dirty person. Being organized has proven to help people be more successful and relaxed. I hope to be able to keep this goal... this will probably be the hardest for me.

Be more assertive

I have always been the person that does the background work and not like to speak up. I often noticed that I did not have confidence in myself. This year I want to be able to work on believing in myself and be more confident in who I am, especially in my height, and much more. I need to learn how to speak up and allow my opinion to be heard.

I wish you all an amazing year. I am so happy to have this platform to be able to share with you! Thank you for sticking with me for the last year! I would love to know what some of your goals are for this year!
